Sexton, Eric Hyde Lord (1902 -1980)
Eric Hyde Lord Sexton, FSA, of Bacton Manor, Herefordshire, and latterly Philadelphia. He married Beryl Partridge of Bacton Manor. She died in 2006 at the age of 91, in Camden, Maine, U.S.A.
Editor of vol. 6 of The arts in early England. (London, 1903-1937). As several chapters of vol. 6 were obviously unfinished, Sexton prepared for print the second part of vol. 6, “Anglo-Saxon sculpture”.
His library was sold in New York by Christie, Manson & Woods, on 8 April 1981: Fifteenth-Century Books Illustrating the Spread of Printing: The Collection of the Late Eric Sexton.
