Thorp, Thomas N/A

According to Burke’s General Armory the arms and crest correspond to those of Thorpe of Boston in Lincolnshire. Clements suggests that it might be the stamp of Robert Thorp, who entered Jesus College, Cambridge in 1641, who took his M.A. in 1648, was ordained in 1646, and was perhaps a Prebendary of Lincoln 1671 1683. Also mentioned is Francis Thorpe (1596 1665), Baron of the Exchequer. However, the copy of Cabala sive Scrinia sacra (1663), bears the signature of Thomas Thorp.
