Thursby , George Augustus (1771 -1836)

George Augustus Thursby was the son of Walter Horsey Thursby, Esq., of Shifnel in Shropshire. He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford, where he matriculated 3 April 1789, aged eighteen, he took his B.A. in 1792, and his M.A. in 1795. He was Rector of Abingdon in Northamptonshire in 1795 and Vicar of Penn in Staffordshire from 1808 until his death 17 January 1836.
