Tyrwhitt, Philip, Sir, 3rd Baronet, of Stainfield (1598 -1667)

Sir Philip Tyrwhitt, 3rd Baronet, of Stainfield in Lincolnshire, was the son of Sir Edward Tyrwhitt, 2nd Baronet, and his first wife, Faith, daughter of Sir Thomas St Paul of Snarford in Lincolnshire, sister and coheir of Sir George St Paul, Baronet. He married, in 1627, Anne, second daughter of Nicholas Saunderson, 1st Viscount Castleton. He succeeded to the baronetcy in 1628, and was a great sufferer in the royal cause, paying as much as £3,488 15s 0d compensation to the sequestrators.
