Worthington N/A

Clements claims this is probably the stamp of Alexander Worthington of Shevington in Lancashire, the son of Nicolas Worthington and Jane (Langtree) Worthington, but this attribution is erroneous, as Jane Langtree was born ca 1500. Alexander married Amelia (born approximately between 1574 and 1634), daughter of Thomas Duxbury, and lived in the seventeenth century. Worthing is an archaic slang term for dung.
